How to Choose the Right Truck Tarpaulin
Specify by load type, route profile and how often the cover is handled — not by price alone.
Start with the load
Abrasive bulk material, sharp steel, machinery and palletised goods all attack a cover differently. Abrasive and sharp loads justify heavier material and additional reinforcing at wear points.
Then the handling frequency
A cover that is removed and refitted several times a day needs to be light enough for one person to handle safely, with well-placed handles, ropes and eyelets. An overly heavy cover simply stops being used.
Finally, the fittings
Eyelet spacing, rope pockets, reinforced corners, welded hems and D-rings determine whether a tarpaulin lasts two years or five. Specify these deliberately rather than accepting a generic finish.
